The range, by scale
- Home — the TF-5KW-10KWH home system (220V, 5 kW output), wall-mounted Power Wall units of 5.12, 10.5 and 14.3 kWh, and 51.2V home systems up to 28.6 kWh.
- Rack and cabinet — the TF51105 ESS battery (51.2V, 5.3 kWh rated, 5.1 kWh usable) and the Li-S 51206 (51.2V, 206 Ah, 10.5 kWh, 96% depth of discharge) as building blocks for larger banks.
- Commercial and industrial — cabinet systems for peak shaving and backup, and container systems that run in parallel to increase total output capacity.
Why LiFePO4 is the storage chemistry here
The manufacturer's case for its storage systems starts with safety: proprietary lithium iron phosphate cells with superior thermal and chemical stability compared with traditional lithium-ion cells, and a chemistry that is non-toxic where nickel- and cobalt-based cells are treated as hazardous when damaged. Around that core, the systems record 100% depth of discharge capability on the container platform, round-trip efficiency of almost 90% through transformer, storage system and inverter, and design life of up to 7000 cycles on the wall-mounted series.
One system, not three boxes
Every Torphan ESS is specified as a working system: battery, smart BMS and inverter communication together. The BMS monitors charge and discharge current, voltage and temperature; the inverter pairing covers on-grid, off-grid and hybrid operation; and the container platform adds CAN, RS485 and MODBUS communication for plant-level control. Project sizing starts from the load — send the daily consumption and the backup hours required, and the quote is built on the units above.
