Crown Forklift Battery

Crown trucks are part of the mixed-fleet programme in the Torphan lithium range: the manufacturer's forklift battery line lists Crown among the supported fleets — Heli, Hangcha, Hyster-Yale, Crown, Toyota, Raymond, Combilift, Jungheinrich, Caterpillar, Doosan and Mitsubishi — across the 24V, 36V, 48V and 80V voltage classes, up to 1200 Ah.

Converting a Crown fleet to lithium

Crown fleets often work tight spaces and long hours — order pickers, reach trucks and counterbalance trucks in high-throughput warehouses. The lithium case fits that duty directly: fast charging (a 1 to 2 hour full charge on the manufacturer's industrial battery record, subject to pack capacity and charger pairing), opportunity charging wherever the truck pauses, and one battery covering two or even three shifts. Because the battery never leaves the truck for charging, the battery room and the swap routine disappear, and the floor space goes back to storage.

The packs are built as plug-and-play replacements in custom trays with dimensions and weights matched to the lead-acid battery they replace, which is essential on Crown trucks where the battery contributes to truck stability and counterbalance. Size, capacity and weight are customised per model on the Li-Power platform.

BMS and truck electronics

The Torphan BMS is designed for mixed fleets: dual CANbus ports support different motive power manufacturers and models as well as concurrent charging, and flexible controls operate relays and contactors, multiple programmable inputs and outputs, rollover and crash sensors and programmable logic controllers. Integrated WiFi options enable reporting to fleet software, so battery and fleet performance can be followed centrally rather than truck by truck.

Ordering a Crown forklift battery

Send the Crown truck model, the voltage and capacity from the current battery data plate, and the shift pattern you run. The quote names the Li-Power pack and tray for that truck, with the TOR6107 charger paired where needed. Minimum order quantities and lead times are confirmed on quotation.

What to check before you convert

Three checks decide a Crown conversion quote. First, the truck's voltage class and the current battery's Ah rating, both on the battery data plate. Second, the tray: Crown applications are matched with custom tray dimensions and weights, so compartment measurements or the old battery's dimensions save a round of questions. Third, the duty: Crown warehouse trucks often run long, dense shifts, which is exactly where opportunity charging and the one-battery multi-shift operation change the fleet maths. Send those three items and the reply specifies the pack, the tray and the charger as one conversion package.
