What the BMS does
The manufacturer's feature list for its lithium ion battery BMS is specific: state of charge calculations; cell over-voltage and under-voltage protection; intelligent battery balancing (active); battery charger control; pack temperature monitoring; and health monitoring of the battery pack. Cells are protected against over-voltage, under-voltage, over-current, over-temperature and under-temperature according to the programmed limits in the battery profile, and the BMS triggers error codes if a cell or the pack falls into poor health.
On the storage side, the same platform is one of the three core components of the energy storage system alongside the cells and the power conversion system: it monitors voltage, current, temperature and state of charge in real time, and protects the battery to secure the safety and lifespan of the whole system.
Display and monitoring options
The range also records display units that show the internal condition of the battery cell by cell, with current parameters and historical data for reference in continuous use — the operator-facing half of the BMS. For fleet and plant integration, communication runs over three CAN buses and RS485.
Ordering a BMS
BMS specification starts from the pack: cell count, working voltage, balance current and communication requirements. Send those four items — or the pack datasheet they belong to — for a quoted configuration. Minimum order quantities and lead times are confirmed on quotation.
