What the built-in BMS does in a pack
The pack design integrates the BMS into the battery rather than leaving protection to the charger or the user. In the manufacturer's design, the internal battery protection system turns the battery off if it is over-charged or over-discharged, and the smart BMS controls and protects against overheating, over-voltage and over-current. On the 51.2V packs the BMS adds state-of-charge display and CAN or RS485 communication with the inverter and charger.
Pack families
- Home solar packs — LiFePO4 packs for home solar storage with built-in BMS, suitable for RV, solar and home energy storage.
- Rack modules — 51.2V modules such as the TF51105 ESS battery (5.3 kWh rated, 5.1 kWh usable) for cabinet and bank builds.
- Motive packs — the Li-Power forklift series from 24V to 80V, built to truck trays.
- Custom packs — built to the customer's technical drawings under the OEM programme, with capacity, size and weight customised.
Pack versus bare cells
Project buyers sometimes price bare LFP cells against finished packs. The pack price includes the engineering that makes cells safe as a system: cell matching, the BMS, relays, fuses and shunt, the case, and communication. For storage and motive duty that integration is the product — it is what allows a 96% depth of discharge and multi-thousand-cycle life to be warranted rather than hoped for.
Ordering a pack
Send the application, voltage, capacity and quantity. Standard packs quote directly from the families above; custom packs quote from your drawing. Minimum order quantities and lead times are confirmed on quotation.
How packs are specified for a quote
A pack quote needs four inputs: application, system voltage, capacity (Ah or kWh) and quantity. For custom packs add the fifth: the technical drawing or the compartment dimensions the pack must fit. The manufacturer's OEM process is drawing-led — you supply the technical drawings, the factory builds the battery — and capacity, weight and size are customised to the requirement. Everything else in the pack (BMS feature set, communication, connector) is selected from the platform options once those inputs are fixed, which keeps the quotation fast and the engineering unambiguous.
