Three figures carry the product: system energy from 5.12 kWh to 14.3 kWh per unit, a cycle life of over 7000, and parallel connection of up to six units for homes that need a bigger bank. Depth of discharge is 96%, so nearly all of the nameplate energy is usable energy before inverter losses.
The module series behind the format
The wall-module family (LFP48V series) shows how the format scales at module level:

These modules are built for off-grid and hybrid systems with a compact design and modular expansion, BMS protection in each module and a breaker embedded in the system.
Smart BMS as standard
The Power Wall units carry an in-house smart BMS: automatic control and protection against overheating, over-voltage and over-current, an optional LCD display for state of charge, voltage and temperature, and CANbus and RS485 communication with the inverter and charger. Active balancing is integrated on the inverter Power Wall variant. That communication is what lets the wall battery charge from solar at midday and discharge through the evening peak without anyone touching it.
Choosing a Power Wall size
Start with the evening load, on stated assumptions: a refrigerator and freezer drawing roughly 1 to 1.5 kWh across a day, LED lighting for the evening hours, and router, devices and television at a few hundred watts combined. On those assumptions, the 5.12 kWh unit — about 4.9 kWh usable at the 96% depth of discharge, before inverter losses — covers lighting, refrigeration and electronics through an outage on that load list: the list totals roughly 2 to 2.5 kWh across an evening and a night, and its combined draw stays inside the unit's 20 A maximum discharge of about 1 kW. Power, not just energy, sets the next step: the 10.5 kWh unit's maximum discharge is 50 A, about 2.56 kW at 51.2 V, which carries an hour of electric cooking at a hob draw of around 2 kW; a water-heating element at a typical 3 kW exceeds that unit's discharge limit on its own, so water heating belongs on the 14.3 kWh unit (100 A maximum discharge, about 5.12 kW) or on a paralleled bank, sized in the quote. The 14.3 kWh unit approaches whole-home overnight cover for a solar household whose overnight loads stay in single-digit kWh and within its discharge rating. A home running air conditioning or electric water heating through the night lands higher — put those loads in the inquiry and the size is matched to them. Send your daily consumption for a matched quote. Minimum order quantities and lead times are confirmed on quotation.
