The 3 kW TOR6101 series covers 24V to 120V with efficiency over 95%, power factor over 0.99 and THD under 10%. For heavier cycle duty the TOR6107 series (reproduced in full on the forklift battery charger page) doubles output to 6 kW and raises the 24V charge current to 200 A. Both series record RS485, RS232 and CAN Bus communication options and Anderson, GB charging gun or REMA connectors.
How to choose a charger for an LFP pack
The manufacturer's selection method has two steps. First, read the battery specification to get the maximum charge voltage and current; the charger's maximum voltage and current must not exceed the battery's. Second, check whether the battery is programmed to communicate with the charger over CANbus — Torphan lithium packs are built to talk to the charger, and that communication is what makes charging fully automatic and managed rather than timed and blind.
Charging behaviour with a matched charger
With a matched charger, charging follows the pack's datasheet limits: the 1 to 2 hour full charge in the manufacturer's industrial battery record applies where the pack's capacity and the charger's current support it, and opportunity charging in short breaks is safe because the BMS supervises every session and the charger stops correctly at full charge — there is no overcharging risk from leaving the battery connected when not in operation.
Ordering
Send the pack voltage, capacity and the connector your equipment uses. The charger is quoted as a matched pair with the battery where both are ordered. Minimum order quantities and lead times are confirmed on quotation.
